The Meyer Straights

The Meyer Straights officially formed in the summer of 2008 to answer the call of Nick Meyer’s ambitious, ever-expanding catalog of original alt/folk tunes with the kind of musical habitat it needed. Since then, Meyer and the band continue to find inspiration in the dimly-lit bedrooms, cluttered basements and smokey bars that act as stages for their performances and lives.

The band takes it’s roots from indie, rock, and pop, but constantly evolves with their musical and real-life influences. Layers upon layers of 21st century, tobacco-stained Americana, The Meyer Straights’ tunes are as rich in cynicism, worry and modern wisdom as they are in instrumentation, lyricism and arrangement.

The Straights released their debut full length album in late 2008 and they continue to impress droves of curious show-goers and the very people that they still sit next to at the bar.

The current live line up consists of Meyer on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Drew Pavlick on keys, Dan Zyk on bass, Nick Maccarone on lead guitar and Jon Hand on drums.
